11th Annual Meeting of the Indo-German Working Group on Quality Infrastructure

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) will host the 11th Annual Meeting of the Indo-German Working Group on Quality Infrastructure on 24 June 2026, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM CEST at GIZ Repräsentanz, Reichpietschufer 20, 10785 Berlin.

The Working Group is jointly led by the BMWE and the Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD), Government of India. It was established in April 2013 to reduce technical barriers to trade while enhancing product safety and consumer protection. The Annual Meeting provides a platform to present progress and align on future cooperation objectives.

What to expect:
• Signing of the Implementation Plan 2026–2027
• Discussions on digital transformation, regulatory developments, and innovation in QI
• Exchange between policymakers, industry leaders, and technical institutions



In addition, a separate Industry Roundtable will be held in the second half of the day, focusing on an exchange between high-level government representatives and the private sector, complementing the broader stakeholder discussions of the morning session. It will capture industry perspectives and regulatory realities, highlighting the practical impact of Quality Infrastructure on market access, investment decisions, and competitiveness.

Organised under the framework of the Indo-German Working Group on Quality Infrastructure, the meeting will bring together:

• Officials from BMWE and MoCAF&PD
• Representatives from standards bodies and Quality Infrastructure institutions
• Government stakeholders, technical experts, and industry representatives
