Indo-German Exchange on Industry 4.0 with focus on Standards for Interoperability and Sustainability

Industry 4.0 is revolutionising the way companies manufacture, improve and distribute their products. It refers to the intelligent networking of machines and processes with the help of information and communication technology. At the same time, Industry 4.0 plays an important role in facilitating interoperability and sustainability in the industry.  


On 22 August 2023, 10:30 – 12:30 CEST / 14:00 -16:00 IST, the Indo-German Expert Exchange on Industry 4.0 will take place in a hybrid format, virtually and on-site in Delhi. With a focus on standards for interoperability and sustainability, German and Indian stakeholders will discuss current developments and priorities regarding Industry 4.0 standardisation on both sides. They will share current trends and use cases for Industry 4.0 such as the Digital Product Passport for Industry 4.0 (DPP4.0), the PCF@Control Cabinet, Asset Administration Shell and Digital Twin. Next to presentations by experts from standardisation organisations and industry, the event will offer also room for discussion about possible standardisation needs and opportunities for Indo-German cooperation.


Indian and German government representatives, regulators, QI-bodies, associations and companies are cordially invited to be part of the Indo-German Expert Exchange on Industry 4.0. The event takes place within the framework of the Indo-German Working Group on Quality Infrastructure which is part of the Global Project Quality Infrastructure (GPQI).
