CNCA and CQC Delegation Visit ZLS

On 26 March 2015, a Chinese delegation composed of members from CNCA and CQC took a study visit to ZLS in Munich to acquaint themselves with management mechanisms and the set up of the GS scheme.
Representatives from ZLS started the meeting by delivering comprehensive presentations on the introduction of the GS mark and coordination of market surveillance in Germany respectively in response to a list of questions submitted by the Chinese delegation prior to the meeting.
The presentation was followed by a Q&A session during which the division of responsibility between the different conformity assessment and accreditation authorities in Germany was clarified and the definition and application of EU directives and regulations were explained. In addition, special emphasis was placed on how ZLS manages the work of the certification bodies and their personnel as well as its own risk management mechanism.
