Once again numerous German and Mexican stakeholders from the industry participated in the Industrial Transformation Mexico (ITM) fair 2023. In two panels hosted by GPQI, they discussed key elements of Industrie 4.0 and initiatives to strengthen the quality infrastructure (QI) for the transition towards electromobility.


BIS delegation visits TÜV Rheinland laboratories in Bangalore

In October a team of officers from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) visited the testing facilities and laboratories operated by TÜV Rheinland in Bangalore, India. GPQI India organised the full-day visit within the framework of the Indo-German Working Group Quality Infrastructure (QI). The visit was as a follow-up to an expert exchange on Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) in September 2023.


Annual Meeting of the Sino-German Working Group on Accreditation and Conformity Assessment (WGACA)

On 29 November, the Annual Meeting of the Sino-German WGACA successfully took place in Taicang and online. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China hosted the meeting. The hybrid event brought together over 90 industry, government, and sector representatives. The participants looked at cooperative achievements and new topics within the WGACA.

On 23 November 2023, stakeholders from the industry, associations, academics, and policymakers from Indonesia and Germany came together in Jakarta and online to discuss the development of standardisation for Industrie 4.0. The aim was to plan further steps for collaboration between the two countries.

From 12 to 17 November 2023, a delegation from the Brazilian National Service of Industrial Learning of the State of Minas Gerais (Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial Minas Gerais, SENAI-MG) travelled to Germany. Their visit strengthened the cooperation between Germany and Brazil on the development of Global Production Language (GPL) for industrial plants.
