Dialogue matters

GPQI promotes technical exchanges between European and Brazilian regulatory authorities in areas including standardisation, accreditation, conformity assessment, and market surveillance. Cooperating with partner institutions such as Brazil’s National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Instituto Nacional de Metrologia, Qualidade e Tecnologia - Inmetro), GPQI contributes to the revision of technical regulation in Brazil.

The project accompanies the Brazilian Ministry of Economy (Ministério da Economia - ME) to optimise outdated technical regulations. Regulations corresponding to the state of the art reduce businesses’ compliance costs while enhancing product safety and supporting innovation. Together with bodies such as Brazil’s Industrie 4.0 (I4.0) Chamber the project supports framework conditions for companies’ transition to I4.0.
