10th Annual Meeting of the Indo-German Working Group on Quality Infrastructure

Germany and India have been working closely together for over a decade to strengthen quality infrastructure (QI) and facilitate trade through reduced technical barriers. Now, the partnership has reached a new milestone.

On 16 July 2025, the Indo-German Working Group on Quality Infrastructure will convene for its 10th Annual Meeting at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. The event brings together high-level representatives from ministries, authorities, standardisation and accreditation bodies, industry associations, and companies from both countries.

Jointly led by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) and the Indian Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD), the Working Group serves as a key platform for bilateral dialogue in QI. It supports improved product safety, regulatory alignment and enhanced consumer protection – enabling fair and rules-based international trade.

The 10th Annual Meeting offers the opportunity to reflect on achievements to date, reaffirm mutual commitments, and identify new topics for future cooperation.

A key moment will be the presentation and official signing of the Work Plan 2025–26, which defines the focus topics and sets the strategic direction for future cooperation.
