Programm & Travel Information

Delegates are expected to arrive on November 10th or 11th, depending on participation in the working groups. Departure is scheduled for November 14th.

Train journeys can be easily booked from Germany via the Trip.com website or smartphone app. Suitable connections and prices are already displayed on the website but can only be booked three weeks before the travel date, whether via Trip.com or other sales channels.
Depending on the connection, the journey between Beijing and Qingdao takes between 3.5 and 5 hours. Ticket prices vary depending on the travel class, e.g. for a single journey: 2nd class €42, 1st class €75, business class €142. We recommend traveling in 1st class.
To participate in the program starting on November 12th, we recommend arriving in Qingdao by 3:30 p.m. on November 11th and departing on November 14th. Participation in the Technical Expert Groups (UAG I4.0) requires earlier arrival (November 10th).

 

Visa Regulations

German citizens can enter China for up to 30 days without a visa for business purposes. This does not apply to travelers with German service passports and temporary passports. For the latest and most comprehensive information, we recommend checking the travel and safety regulations provided by the German Federal Foreign Office.
