Brazil: CNI conducts public consultation on Inmetro's Good Regulatory Practices
The National Confederation of Industry (CNI) in Brazil is evaluating the regulatory practices employed by the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro). For the best possible results, they will start a public consultation asking for opinions from the private sector and companies which operate in Brazil. The purpose of the collection is to contribute to the improvement of the agency's regulatory practices.
You can participate in the public consulation and answer the questionnaire in Portuguese (total of nine questions) until 30 November here. As informed by CNI, all information provided is confidential and will be analyzed in a joint manner, without any identification of the participants.
Since last year, GPQI and Inmetro have been cooperating closely on aspects related to quality infrastructure and the regulatory reform. Besides this continuous cooperation, an initiative by the Trade for Development Fund (T4D) - another GIZ project - is complementing existing efforts, supporting Inmetro’s regulatory modernization process.
On 18 November, the T4D will launch its activities through a workshop in which CNI will present their remarks in regard to the current challenges.
Please get in touch in case you are interested in participating in the event.
