Within the framework of the seventh annual meeting of the Sino-German Working Group on Product Safety held in Hangzhou in April 2017, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has organised a technical side workshop on market surveillance measures in cross-border online trading. The workshop was presided by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and the Center for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).

The objective was to establish a first exchange between the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) and the Office for Import and Export Inspection and Quarantine of Zhejiang (Zhejiang CIQ).Focal points were risk monitoring of e-commerce import products, an evaluation of cooperation possibilities in the joint use of risk data of certain pilot products and the coordination of further action.

Given the political framework provided by the BMWi and AQSIS, BNetzA and Zhejiang CIQ agreed to exchange risk data for electronic commerce with products for wireless audio transmission. The potential exchange with other consumer products, which exceed the scope of BNetzA, will be coordinated with the responsible.
