China

On 28 September, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie - BMWi) welcomed over 60 stakeholders to the virtual preparatory meeting of the 9th Annual Meeting of the Sino-German Standardisation Cooperation Commission (SGSCC). Representatives of German companies, associations, standardisation bodies and the BMWi took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, participants exchanged information on developments in standardisation policy in China and Germany. The fruitful exchange was a chance to discuss relevant topics, including Industrie 4.0, electromobility, ICV, sustainability, the digital product pass and smart energy in preparation for the upcoming SGSCC meeting.

The 9th Annual Meeting of the SGSCC will take place virtually between 26 October and 3 November. It is chaired jointly by BMWi and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (SAC). If you are interested in participating, please register here.

The SGSCC was founded in 2011 to create a central dialogue platform for bilateral standardisation cooperation, facilitating open and transparent exchange among business and government representatives. The cooperation not only covers bilateral standardisation topics, but also serves as an effective mechanism for the formation of joint positions at the international level - especially in ISO and IEC.
