Day 2: Planning the future!

The focus shifted today at the 13th Annual Sino-German Standardisation Commission Meeting (SGSCC 2025) in Qingdao. We moved from discussing specific issues to a more broader stance in terms of future collaboration and strategic thinking in standardisation on an international level.

Digital Product Passport & Strategic Planning

The morning session kicked off with a crucial Joint Information Exchange Meeting on the Digital Product Passport (DPP). This "passport" is vital for making global trade and product quality systems more transparent and efficient. Today's discussions were key to aligning international perspectives on this fundamental concept.

Deep Dive into Key Sectors

The strategic talks continued in the afternoon with focused annual meetings:

Electromobility (ELMO) and Industrie 4.0 (I4.0): These sub-working groups met to drive standardisation efforts in these essential, future-defining industrial sectors.
Standardisation Strategy Working Group: This important team defined the future direction and top priorities for Sino-German standardisation collaboration in the coming year.
The strategic groundwork is now complete. We look forward to the most anticipated event: the Plenary Session of the SGSCC tomorrow!
