Standardisation is increasingly important for the global competitiveness of the industry. Standards ensure the compatibility and quality of products and services and provide a common language for trade partners all over the world. They help to reduce barriers to trade, facilitate market access and promote trade and innovation.

India and Germany cooperate closely in the field of standardisation. Thereby, the Indo-German Standardisation Forum provides a platform for interactive exchange between ministries, standards bodies, and industry representatives of both sides. It was established in 2019 as part of the Indo-German Working Group on Quality Infrastructure.

The 2nd Indo-German Standardisation Forum takes place on 2 September 2021 in virtual format.

It provides an opportunity to discuss:

Key Results from the Indo-German Cooperation on Standardisation
Priority Topics and Opportunities for Future Indo-German Cooperation
Relevance of Standards for Regulatory Compliance - Perspectives from Stakeholders

Please find the detailed agenda for the event below. Registration is open until 31 August. We look forward to your participation!
